CIVIL DESIGNER /CADD SPECIALIST

| Experience: | 4+ years; higher degree or experience in ArcGIS is a definite plus. |
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform geometry and quantity calculations. Prepare various design options, construction drawings, site plan preparation, specifications, and bid documents for all types of civil engineering projects. The typical civil projects may include stormwater, roadway, drainage, environmental, water resources, water supply, land development, and/or utility projects in Central and South Florida. Serve as lead resource person for CADD activities, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Detail oriented and good organizational and communication (oral and written) skill.
- Demonstrated experience in ability to work well in a team environment.
- Direct experience in civil engineering and roadway projects including design and preparation of site grading, layouts and structural details, earthwork, materials quantity take-offs, and cut and fill evaluation.
- Some site development and FDOT experience is required. Familiarity with AASHTO requirements is desirable.
- Good computer skill with proficiency in MicroStation and working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
- High level of expertise in MS Office suite, specifically in Excel and Word.
- Experience in any of the following aspects is a definite plus:
- ArcGIS
- FHWA projects
