STAFF CIVIL ENGINEER
| Location: | Orlando, FL and Greenacres, FL |
| Education: | Minimum B.S. in Civil Engineering |
| Experience: | 1 to 4 years; professional experience in modeling and CAD is a definite plus. |
Duties and Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of civil engineering activities including site investigation, geotechnical, environmental, modeling, engineering analysis and design, permitting, site plan preparation, development of specifications, and construction inspection as needed. The typical civil projects may include stormwater, roadway, drainage, environmental, water resources, water supply, land development, and/or utility projects in Central and South Florida.
Requirements:
- Detail oriented and good organizational and communication (oral and written) skill.
- Demonstrated experience in ability to work well in a team environment.
- EIT is required, Florida PE desirable.
- Experience in civil engineering projects including preparation of permit applications.
- General knowledge of water control structures, pumping stations, reservoirs, canals, and levees.
- Thorough knowledge in application and/or development of hydrologic and hydraulic models, including engineering design of major water control structures and/or roadway drainage.
- Working knowledge of ArcGIS and spatial analysis with ability to compile, review and analyze data.
- High level of expertise in MS Office suite, specifically in Excel and Word.
- Experience in any of the following aspects is a definite plus:
- Land Development, FDOT, or Federal projects
- Construction inspection
- Hydrologic network analysis
- Site development, water quality modeling, permit preparation, grant writing
- Hydro-meteorological data analysis, NEXRAD data evaluation and analysis
